We’ve been diligently developing the next PostCurious game, and I thought it might be time to share a few thoughts and a peek at some artwork!
Over the past year I had gotten a few inquiries regarding translation of The Tale of Ord into other languages. While it doesn’t seem impossible, it presents a daunting task to translate a game in which the language is so intertwined with the puzzles. As a result, I began to think about what my design philosophy might be for the next game, and how it might be more accessible - not just by making translation easier but in the conception of the puzzles themselves. I began to lean toward a more visual approach and it followed naturally that a more visual game should have more original art. I've come across many games that are not only a pleasure to play but have beautiful art and components that elevate the entire experience to another level. I hope to do the same with this game, and today I wanted to share a few of the drawings I’ve been working on so far. (Oh and don't worry, the entire game is not just about flowers, although I think that would be pretty cool too...)
What do you think? What games do you love because of their art?
