Gameplay
Written by Lauren Bello (The Morrison Game Factory, Threads of Fate) and spanning four chapters, Emerald Echoes can be played as a solo or co-op narrative puzzle game. Each chapter envelope contains a collection of physical items, such as a metal coin and wooden box, alongside numbered puzzle folders filled with letters, field guides, and documents printed on high quality paper. Blue story folders woven throughout contain no puzzles but move the story forward between discoveries. None of the items in the game are destroyed while playing, making it fully resettable. That way you can enjoy your own mystical adventure and then pass the game along to other players.
The Story
The other part unfolds in the margins: messages between two present day researchers, Hanna and Marketa, brought together by their shared interest in unearthed historical documents. You must use their correspondence to piece together the story of what happened to the ancient alchemists. Guided by their research, you’ll work through beautifully illustrated puzzles, manipulate tactile artifacts, and immerse yourself in the narrative as each discovery pulls you deeper into the past.

Will you uncover the secrets of the legendary alchemist and her enigmatic companions?
