Gameplay
Jasmine’s dreams are divided into four chapters, so you can work through all of them in one sitting or spread them across multiple play sessions. Each chapter focuses on a different elemental being visiting Jasmine in her sleep: one from the sky, one from the earth, one from the water, and one from the forest. To better explain her dreams, Jasmine has compiled four folders and satchels of artifacts for each elemental spirit. Each folder holds three lyrical poems and an otherworldly painting. Use these in tandem with each satchel’s physical pieces to interpret the messages from the dream spirits.
The Story
Jasmine Perodine’s grandfather has died, and she has inherited all of his belongings. As she sorts through what he left behind, she discovers strange artifacts and, even more strangely, she begins having mysterious dreams where they appear. Wondering if her grandfather had the same dreams, she begins recording what she sees in the form of poems and drawings, then hires you to interpret them.

Can you find your way through Jasmine’s dreams to uncover the messages she is being sent, or will you get lost in the ethereal landscape?

Adrift takes about 2 to 4 hours to play and can be completed solo or in a small group. An online portal is provided, but is only needed to get hints and check solutions. The hint system is incremental, so you can get a small nudge in the right direction before committing to a full reveal. No outside knowledge or research required.

Credits
Rita Orlov was inspired to create Adrift by the beautiful artwork of Amelia Leonards. Her striking figures and magical watercolors speak to the mysteries of other worlds, and the game grew naturally from that visual language.
