Puzzle 1 Hints
Puzzle 2 Hints
. The two insects at the top are a key for the one below.
. The moth travels in straight lines and the lightning bug travels in a curve. Can you predict where all the bugs are going?
. Trace paths that start at each bug and show where it would travel to.
. The paths will create letters. For example, the last letter is T.
. Each phrase in the poem (between two commas) is a clue to a set of coordinates for the grid. Each set will derive a letter.
. What two symbols could be referred to in the first phrase that mentions night and dawn?
. The first two symbols are the moon and sun, which means the first letter is D.
. Find the other pairs of symbols using the same logic, but keep in mind that some include a little wordplay.
. The pairs are as follows: Hand & hourglass, skull & key, bone & lock, lightning & heart, bell & ring, eye & fire, sun & hourglass.
Puzzle 3 Hints
. Examine the item around the circle. Could any of them be paired up?
. For example, a boat can be paired with an oar. How can you connect these two items?
. Draw a line between the boat and the oar. What does it cross over?
. On the bottom there are 6 objects to decode. Since connecting the boat and oar crosses an A, the second to last letter is A.
. Connect the other pairs and use the letters the lines cross to decipher the other symbols.
. The other pairs are: crown & jewel, axe & log, bow & arrow, sword & shield, quill & ink.
