Easter Egg Puzzle Hunt 2019
The Easter Egg Puzzle Hunt 2019 was posted over Easter weekend in three parts. Images with eggs were hidden throughout the website and PostCurious social media. All the images needed to solve the puzzles have been gathered in the two slideshows below, but please note that these require outside research to solve. The puzzles need to be solved in sequence, as you will need the answer from image 1 to solve image 2, and the solution from image 2 to solve image 3. The final answer will be two words. Hints and answer verification can be found below.
Puzzle Images
Easter Eggs
. Before proceeding, find all 10 Easter eggs.
. The eggs have some strange characters on them - can you figure out how to translate them?
. Can you glean anything from the image of the tapestry? Who are those people?
. A reverse image search on the tapestry could help (best to crop out the sides.)
. If you search the image, you should be able to find the two people to be St. Cyril and St, Methodius. Find out more about them.
. A quick search should tell you that they are credited with inventing Glagolitic script.
. Find the Glagolitic alphabet and try to translate the symbols on the eggs. Keep in mind there are a few different versions of the script, so a couple letters might require interpretation.
. Use the patterns in EASTER EGG PUZZLE HUNT with the patterns on the eggs to get the order of the letters.

. Before proceeding, complete the puzzle from the first image.
. What could “GOLDEN LANE TWENTY TWO” mean? Try doing some research.
. Golden Lane is a small street inside of Prague Castle. What famous person lived in house #22?
. Franz Kafka lived in house 22. Now what does the moth make you think of?
. The moth represents Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. But what’s that weird symbol above it?
. Try cropping the logo and reverse image searching it.
. The logo is from Project Gutenberg. You can find the book at http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/5200
. Now what’s going on inside this moth’s wings and body?
. The moth’s body and wings have Morse code hidden in the lines.
. The code in the bottom of the body says C/P/W. What do you think C/P/W is referring to? What do the wings translate to?
. Each wing represents one word in a book cipher, denoted by chapter, paragraph, and word. The order is given by the Roman numerals 1-4 on the body of the moth.
. Before proceeding, finish the puzzle from the second image.
. Try to see if you can figure out who lived in house #14 on Golden Lane.
. Visit hrad.cz and go to the visitor section, then find the virtual tour. (You can also just Google “Prague Castle virtual tour”)
. Once inside the castle, navigate to Golden Lane. You can look up a map of the castle to make it easier to find.
. Some houses on Golden Lane allow you to go inside. But which house is the right one?
. A little research (along with the tarot cards) will reveal that house 14 belongs to a fortune teller. Enter the fortune teller’s house and look at the clock. What time is it?
. The clock hand on the tarot card that is highlighted in red is telling you to focus on the hour.
. It’s 9 o’clock. What tarot card is #9 in the deck?
